Fun Weekend

This weekend I was planning to go to play soccer and to go hang out with my friends and go watch some movies to the theater and then on The next morning I was thinking on going to church with my brother since I have not been gone there for a month or may be more time and I thought that it would be nice for me to go there and to pray for all of the affected stroke by the tsunami in japan and hoping that soon they can get over this with the help of everybody around the world. On the afternoon I was also hoping to go visit my girlfriend and go eat some ice cream and I will be very happy to see her again because we have not seen to each other for a little while and I think that this would be a great opportunity to show her how much I really love and miss her.

I'm hoping that this weekend goes good for me because I been waiting for a long time to spend some time with the people that I love the most which are my family and friends, Billy and Daniel they are like brothers to me they support me a lot and help me whenever I need them, we are always trying to do something fun to make ourselves happy, we have a lot of fun together, we go to eat, play soccer and do a lot of things together and that is why they are my best friends.

This week has been very busy for me because I've been going to play soccer, running, and lifting weights so that way I can get better at soccer because I want to go back to Mexico after I get graduated from High School to try out for a soccer team called "Atlas". One of my brothers has been saving money for me so that I can follow my dream which is to play professional soccer.

I have a lot of support from all of my brothers and they are always giving advices and telling me to follow my dreams and that is exactly what I'm going to do because one of my biggest dreams is to play for a professional soccer team and that is one of the reasons why I've been practicing a lot this year I tried to go practice every day and do the best I can to get better at soccer and in all of my skills, many of my friends also support me a lot with the decision that I took to play professional soccer they are always encouraging me to never give up and to keep trying harder and harder because they gave told me that I can be a great player and that I should also try out for a professional soccer team because they think that I have the skills to get to be a professional soccer player.

I have already talked to my parents and they also support me with the decision that I took, I'm very happy to have the best family and friends because they are always supporting me the best that they can and this also makes me feel very confident about myself because I know that they are always going to be there whenever I need them and I'm really proud of saying that I love them all.

The end of our soccer season

This week will be a little bit sad because our soccer season will be over with a last game on Saturday, we have also been practicing really hard to try to win our last game against our rival number one Travis, and I'm really hoping to score another goal and if I make it it will be dedicated to all seniors from the soccer team that are getting graduated this year. I'm also hoping that we play a great game and that we finish up our season by winning our last game since we did not make it into the playoffs this year we are looking forward that we can do it next year, with a really young team composed mainly of many sophomores and juniors.

I'm very happy and pleased with the hard work that all of the Varsity team has done this year, I think that we have improved a lot in many aspects such as our skill but the most important thing is that we have learned to play together as a team and to learn to overcome the mistakes that we have done in the past.

All of my soccer teammates have been like brothers to me they have helped me to understand the importance of helping to each other and to move forward as a team and I think that this is one of the best examples of a senior to leave for the future generations and even tough we did not make it into the playoffs this year I'm very proud of being part of this team and all I can say is that we are a great team.

Difficult times

This week has been very hard for me and my family, and the reason for this is because one of my older brothers has been very sick and my brother and I've been taking him to so many different hospitals to get blood tests and to see what is wrong with him but I don't think that none of the doctors have found the disease that he's got because they have told us so many different stories that we don't know what to do anymore.

The only good thing for me was going to play soccer on Friday, where we played Reagan it was a very important game for us because we needed to win the game to get into the playoffs the first half of the game was very exciting we were playing a great game, everybody was doing a good job and just five minutes before the game ended one of our midfielders sent a through pass to our forward, where he took a great shot and made it into the top right hand corner of the goal, it was a great goal and we were really excited because we were close to get into the playoffs and finally the first half ended with a goal in favor to the Crockett team, beginning the second half We started making a lot of mistakes on defense which caused us one goal, and soon after the first goal, they scored another goal on us, this made it very difficult for us because the whole team was very upset to each other for not playing our best game but at the last fifteen minutes of the game we started attacking more, everyone in the team was putting their best effort to tried to tie the game but unfortunately the goal never came and Reagan won by a score of 2-1.

Soccer team

This weekend it's been very exciting for me, because this last Friday our crockett soccer team had a game and we won, this has given us a lot of confidence to play the next game that we have on Tuesday against Eastside Memorial, and I'm hoping to score a goal, because I promised to my girlfriend to score a goal. It's our first game of the season so that is why we have to take it very seriously, doing the best we can to win this game and to start up with a victory what matters the most and to hopefully keep winning more games through all the season, and trying to get into the playoffs for the first time in three years that I've been playing for the Crockett soccer team.

Our new coach that we have has helped us a lot to improved in our soccer skills since he came, he has taught us a lot of new drills that in my opinion have been very successful for all of us in the team, he has also showed us to play together as a team and to help each one of our teammates.

We have been practicing a lot this week, even tough it's really cold out there on the field, many of my teammates are very excited and hoping to make it into the playoffs but they are also hoping to get some play time, because there is really a lot of competition in the team and sometimes it's really hard for some players to get some play time, but one of the things that I like is that we all support to each other and and that we all have a great communication with each other, that is a very important fact in all teams

New Year, Same Goal

This new year has brought a lot of good and bad things to me but mostly good things, starting by me having a lot of playing time in the Crockett soccer team, and it's also very exciting because I think that all the effort and work that we are putting into the team is finally giving us better results and I'm hoping that we can that we can continue doing the best we can to get the soccer team into a better place or even into the playoffs because I think that is time for us to finally get something good from all of the hard work that we have done for the team.

Unfortunately life it's not the way that you wanted it to be like and also bad things happen, recently my friend's dad died, something that really struck him and has made him change a lot I feel really sad for him because he really loved his dad and cared for him a lot I'm hoping that he can get over that quickly even tough it's going to be rally hard for him but with the help of his friends and family I'm sure that he will do fine.

We all need to be happy for this new year that came out and we all should be thankful for still been here alive and with the people we love around us, even tough sometimes for some people life is not always fair, we need to learn and accept the lessons that life puts in our lifes and that for some reason god is giving us all these lessons to make us better and stronger persons.

Winter Break

I had so much fun on this winter break with my friends and family, one of the things that I really liked about it is that I got to see all the people that I love gathered together to celebrate a very important time of the year like Christmas where everybody try their best to make happy the persons they love, that is one of the reasons why I love Christmas, because is the time where you give a present or things like that without expecting to get something back and also the time of the year when people express their love to the people that they love.

For Christmas in my family, we had some very typical food such as turkey, (ponche) which is a very typical drink for many hispanic people and we also had some tamales which were made out of chicken and I have to admit one thing, they were so delicious that I ate too many of them and as a result of that I ended up gaining some weight but the good thing is that all my family gathered together again to celebrate Christmas.

Another very special thing about things was that I got a lot of presents from my brothers and friends, one very special present that I got was a big portrait of me when I was two years old, it was very special for me because I really did not have any pictures of when I was little so that present was really significant to me, I think that it's even one of the best presents that I have gotten in my whole life, I also got some shoes and some electronic devices that I did not really needed them but I'm also thankful for the people who gave them to me.

Christmas

I'm really excited for Christmas, it's a holiday that is celebrated in all countries where many people gather together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, many people have a special food for that day and they decorate their houses with the Christmas trees, and lights. The food can vary in many countries some people would eat turkey, fish and sometimes pork, you can also find some very good fruit cakes.

In my family what we usually do is make some tamales, and a very delicious drink called "ponche" it's made out of all kinds of fruits, one of my favorites is the apple and guava wich are delicious, for the gift giving we have so many presents that we cover the whole christmas tree with presents, and then we stay up all night till three in the morning.

We also go buy a lot of fireworks for the kids that come to our house that don't have money we invite them and we have a really good time with them, because in Christmas I think that everybody should get a present and so between all of my brothers try to raise some money for those kids and buy them a small present that can make them smile in Chistmas.

Busy week

This weekend was amazing, first because I had a wonderful time with my family, and I really loved it because we reunited all together again and we had some food wich was very delicious. Yesterday I also had an amazing day because one of my favorites soccer team won the mach in the classico wich is only played in spain, my team named Barcelona was playing a very good game, the way that they were passing the ball from one side to the other was amazing, almost magic and that is one of the reasons why they won by scoring five goals.

Today is also a very important day for many immigrant students that are living in the United States because the senate passed the law called "Dream Act" wich will help immigrant students to get a permit to live in the United States and to even get to be citizens of the U.S this will benefit many immigrant students because the will be able to go school and to get a job, and also they will be able to visit their families in their countries, a lot of young students were hoping that this law can be pass, because it will decide the future of many students in this country.

During the next few days I will be really busy, by going to soccer practice every day, our soccer season is getting closer and we are hoping to do better this year, we have a lot of players who are trying really hard to get better and to hopefully get into the playoffs this year.

Thanksgiving

This week it's been really exciting for me because I finally got to play soccer, because of my injured foot I was not able to play for two weeks but now that I feel better and that I'm also able to run a lot more faster I thanked to my doctor and I also hope that I don't get injured anymore because it's really painful and boaring to be just sitting down on the couch and watching tv

During the weekend I'm going to go to vistit my uncle's ranch and we were planning on riding the horses that he has in his ranch, one of the favorite horses that I always ride when I go to his ranch is one horse name "Palomo", he is a very strong and intelligent horse wich I also like to ride because he is one of the fastest horses that my uncle has. At the end of the day we were hoping on having a barbecue with some friends that my uncle invited to come to his house and I'm sure that I will have so much fun with all of them because the are some very nice friends and they are really close to the family.

Try outs at school start next week and because of that I will be practicing a lot this weekendd because I need to gain more speed so that when I play for the school I don't get that tired and I that I never come out of the field because I feel that this year will be really succesful for me in soccer.

The saddest day in my life

Last Saturday I went to play soccer with my friends and we were having so much fun when accidentally I tried to cross the soccer ball to one of my teammates and I hit the ground with my left foot and unfortunately I fractured it, when I got to the hospital the doctor checked my foot and told me that there was nothing to worry about because it was just a little sprained and with an object in my foot and a few weeks of rest I would be ready to play soccer again.

This weekend I'm going to get a haircut and also I'm going to go visit my cousin, since I can't go to play soccer I will may be playing video games, watching movies and also spending some time with my girlfriend because we don't get to see much during the week because she also has to go school and practice after school with a soccer team that she plays for.

Saturday night it's going to be really exciting because I will be watching the fight between Margarito vs Paquiao and I hope that the Mexican boxer can win this fight to one of the best boxing players, I’m hoping that the Mexican guy wins this fight, because a lot of people is supporting him and all Mexican people are very proud of him for being the best in the ring.

Winter

This week was very cold so I did not have much time to go to play soccer and also because I was injured and I haven't play this whole week, I'm thinking that I'm going to be able to start playing soccer again by probably next Tuesday.

This weekend I'm hoping to do a lot of things starting with going to visit my cousin because we were planning on going to a small party that were invited to go, I also wanted to go to play soccer with my friends but I don't think that I will be able to play with them because I'm injured.

On Saturday I'm going to try to wake up early so I can watch some soccer games and also try to finish with all my homework that I have for all of my classes. I also wanted to congratulate the football team for the great effort they made this season to be in the playoffs, there is two members of the Varsity soccer team who are also playing for the Varsity football team and they are doing a great job in there, and we are also hoping that they can join the soccer class soon because the soccer season is just one month away from now and we are all excited for that because this year we are really looking forward to get in the playoffs.

Halloween

This weekend I'm hoping attend to a party at my friend's house where there is going to be a lot of people, and friends from other schools, I was also thinking to go to sixth street after the party with my girlfriend and some friends.

I'm also really excited to celebrate The Day of the Death, many people from Mexico and other Latin countries celebrate this ritual, Mexican bakeries all over the country offer the delicious pan de muerto, these breads are place on the altars and taken to the tombs in the graveyard.

I'm hoping that everything goes right this weekend and that nothing bad happens, because usually during this time of the year, many people drive when they are drunk and as a result of that they cause many accidents that sometimes they end up in the death of innocent people.

The next two days will also be very important because on August 2, is the date where Mexican and Latin people celebrate "El dia de los muertos" the day of the death in which many people go to worship their ancestors, where people go to the cemeteries and build altars containing their favorite food and beverages of their deceased.

It seems like this year it's going to be a lot more excited than the years before because many people has already been planning on what they are going to do for those days.

Chicharito

Today's post is dedicated to one of my favorites soccer players, Javier Hernandez commonly known as "Chicharito" (Spanish: little pea), is a Mexican footballer who plays as a forward for Manchester United, being the first Mexican to do so.

He previously played for Mexican club Guadalajara. He made his debut for the Mexico national football team in September 2009 in a match against Colombia and represented them at the 2010 FIFA World Cup scoring two goals against Bolivia.

On 11 June 2010, Hernández made his FIFA World Cup debut during the opening game of the 2010 tournament against South Africa in a 1-1 draw, and he scored his first competitive goal on 8 August 2010, scoring United's second goal in the 3–1 victory over Chelsea in the 2010 FA Community Shield.

He's my role model because, he was always trying hard to get where he is now and this encourages me to keep on playing soccer and hopefully make it into a soccer team, many people from my family tells me to do what I like and that is exactly what I'm going to do, I'm going to follow my dreams, because one of the reasons that makes me no to give up is my family.

My Birthday

This week it's been very special for me because I just turned seventeen years old on Sunday, I had a small birthday party at my house, I was really happy because all my family gathered together to celebrate my birthday, It's one of the occasions where you want to reunite with all your family and to have a really good time with them .

My aunt was in charge of the food and she really surprised when she made some enchiladas for me, and I was really grateful to her for worrying about me and cooking food for all guests.

I got some really cool presents for my birthday, one of them was a pair of cleats for soccer, everybody in my family knows that I love to play soccer and that nothing would make me more happy than getting a soccer ball and a pair of soccer cleats for my birthday.

The next day I had to wake up unfortunately early because I had to go school and take a quiz for my chemistry class that would to helped me to pass that class because I was failing with a fifty five and the end of the first six weeks was just three days away from that day, one of the good things about that day was that we played a small scrimmage and that happily we won the game with a hat trick that I made, and nothing made me happier, that when I got to see my girlfriend after school, I was happy because she had not talked to me in a while because she was mad at me for a little argument that we had, but now everything it’s back in its place and I’m really happy because of that.

RIP James Hinojosa

Today I don't have anything else to say but RIP, James Hinojosa, a high school student and a really big friend of mine. It happened near Crockett High School after getting off from school and heading to the rail line to get to his house. The train was coming around the bend when it hit him, and unfortunately he died.

All that I want to say is that he will always be in our memories and we will never forget him. He was one of those friends that will help you whenever you need help and that always be there when you need him. Earlier that day when the accident happened, I had a class with him and we partnered up together to do a project. When I sat next to him he shook my hand and asked me how was I doing? And I answered that I was okay and I told him that "Today is going to be a great day because I am going to play soccer with my brothers. And he also told me that he could not wait to get home and go skating with his friends.

This is a really big tragedy, not only for me but for all of the community, where we all need to get together and hope that he can rest in peace and also hope the best for his family and all of his friends and that none of these tragedies happen again.

We all are going to miss you James Hinojosa.

Independence of Mexico

Last week was very excited for me and for many other people too because we celebrate the Independence of Mexico it is a really important day for all of Mexican people because that's one of the things that we should be proud of, it is a symbol that identify us and what makes us unique from anybody else.

The next day we woke up very late and sinc

On Sunday my friends and I had a little party at my house and we had lots of food such as enchiladas,mole and some tamales, very typical food for all Mexican people. We gathered all together and we watched movies, play games, we had a great time together.

e we were very tired we decided to go out and eat at some Mexican Restaurant, I decided to eat some tacos and my brother some enchiladas that were looking very delicious, by afternoon we decided to go to play soccer with my cousins and spend some time with them because I have not seen them in a while, and I thought that it would be a very good idea to hang out together and have a very good day.

The saddest day in my life

Last Thursday I had a really bad day, first because I needed to get my physical exam and when I got to the clinic, there was a doctor that told me that he could not sign my physical because he said that I had a heart problem and that I could not be playing soccer anymore so just to make sure, he sent me with a cardiologist so that he could check my heart and see if I could to still keep playing soccer.

Today I don't feel good because I'm start thinking that the doctor was right on telling me that I was sick and that I could not play soccer anymore, because yesterday while I was playing soccer with my friends I started to feel bad and all sudden I just got short of breath and I just stopped playing and went straight to my house.

For the first time in my life I feel a little bit disappointed of myself and probably also losing all my hopes on trying to be a professional soccer player, I hope that all this bad stuff goes away sooner and that hopefully I can keep playing soccer.

Soccer

I'm an athlete and a really good soccer player too, I practice and work out a lot to have a very good physical condition. I've decided to try out for a mexican soccer team called "Atlas" a team composed of many young players, and that is one of the reasons why I would like to try out for that team because I know that I have a least one chance to get in the team, but in order to that I need to do that, first I have to get graduated from High School and then go back to Mexico.

This weekend I've been planning with my friends to go to play soccer to Soccer Zone and may be stay there for two hours and then probably go to eat. Monday was a very long day for me because I had to go to all my boaring classes, math, science, and US History.

Also on sunday I'm hoping to go get my physical for start playing soccer with all my friends and also I was thinking on going to buy my new cleats for the next season, I'm really excited about this year I'm hoping to best player this soccer season.

This weekend I've been very busy getting ready for the summer and one of the best things that I can do is to review for the finals and get a good grade so I can get credit for this semester. I'm really excited because of the end of the school year.

I had so much fun this year and that is what makes me sad to say goodbye to all those things that happened to me during all this time. I think that I'm also going to miss school and many of my friends, there are many good and bad things that happened to me this year, and I hope they can happen to me again.

I'm very excited to become a junior next year and to keep playing soccer for the soccer team and hopefully get to playoffs, something that we could not get this year but we hope to make it to them next year.
